It™™s a cute little unit. There™™s some things wrong, but I think that has more to do with installation, for example: the dryer door on top does not stay open and swings back and I™™m always hitting my head on it. I note that several of the screws on the appliance are crooked. However, it works well and I had limited space and overall I™™m fairly happy.

Just bought the GE washer/dryer stacked combo, MODEL NUMBER GUD27GSPMDG. So far I love it. Never had a gas dryer before but it™™s does a great job. So far I have not found anything negative about it.

This unit is a welcome addition to my bungalow. It's capacity is well beyond my needs, but has features that allow you to use just the right amount of water for your load and the optimum amount of heat to dry your clothes but not too much. i also love the black finish: nice change from traditional appliance white.

Love the deep tub, just wish there was a soak option. You can leave the lid up for a short while but it goes into auto drain sometime following. I read that it was noisy and I agree. I was surprised to hear just how noisy. Other than that, it™™s a really great unit. Overall I really like it.

Our new washer/dryer unit arrived 4 days after the original scheduled date without a call initiated by the delivery service. The final delivery was efficient and professional. They did a partial install since the dryer gas hookup was outside their scope. We™™ve run 3 loads and love the results. Capacity, noise level and effectiveness are all as expected. We look forward to many years of reliability.

I purchased this space-saver model to give me more space in my laundry room. I'm very happy with the capacity of the washer and dryer. I would have liked to have a buzzer on the dryer when the load is finished. Otherwise, I love this washer/dryer model.

I wish I had known sooner that #GE is listed among Canada's top brands for appliance breakdowns. Their customer service has been an incredibly frustrating experience. After a month of chasing them, I'm now paying out of pocket for repairs on a laundry unit that™™s less than two years old and has had numerous service issues, starting in the very month I bought it. Despite multiple service calls, none of these issues were ever fully resolved. Now, with the warranty expired, I™™m told the unit may need a transmission replacement which I was assured I did nothing to cause as the service technician stated "they just dont make things like they used to"!! I had to pay out of pocket for the original service call which should have been 100% warrantied. Do you think GE cares? Nope.
GE claims their products are built to be durable and reliable, but my experience has been anything but that. Home life doesn't feel easier when I'm washing a family of fours laundry in the bath tub after dropping $2000 on a washer drying less then 2 years ago. I shouldn't have to buy a new washer and dryer. Their customer service team has shown a lack of empathy, leaving us without a washing machine still to this day.

Within three weeks of purchase, a large stabilizing metal piece was dislodged from front of wash unit and ended up in the washer tub. Service, however, was prompt, competent, and appears to have resolved the issue. Technician said he thought a piece may have been jostled during transport. Otherwise, working well.

Horrible! It broke after the 2nd use! We had it for 5 days & it flooded our laundry area. It took 10 days to get a GE repairman out to our house. Patrick was extremely nice! Very professional! He told us our drum was cracked & ordered the parts which arrived here about 5 days later. Now we have to wait another 12 days for someone to return & install said parts! We™™re a household of 8 & have been without a washer/dryer for 23 days & counting™¦

Looks good and feels solid, washed and dried well. The knobs feel a bit crowded and it's cramped getting the laundry out from the washer. Overall I'm happy with it though, and it saved a lot of space over my old setup.

Replaced a 25+ year old Maytag unit, and after 2 weeks and my initial opinion is I really like this unit. It has a larger capacity and is quieter than my old unit. I've kept is simple and haven't used all the available settings yet. Felt confident with the GE brand and the retailer ABT who both sold and installed the unit. Hopefully this one will be as dependable as my last one. The kicker is I liked being able to get in the charcoal color, over white. I know it's absurd, but I think the darker color looks more modern in my laundry room.

Great looking unit and performance is very impressive. All my appliances are GE, my go-to brand!
There are some things that could used improvement (drying cycles are mystifying, and handle on the dryer door requires special ™technique™ so it doesn™™t come off in your hand), but overall we™™re glad we got it. We had a professional install it as it was going into a new hookup in our kitchen area.
It has been a learning experience and I™™d highly recommend watching the video about all the normal, new sounds it makes.

We installed this unit on our main floor so that we don™™t have to shlep our laundry up and down to the basement.
Aside from making unfamiliar sounds (we watched the video, highly recommended), we are learning what works and what doesn™™t work for us™"™"
The dryer doesn™™t perform its functions as well as expected. Ultimately, the only drying cycles that are effective are the timed ones. I™™ve tried them all and our normal loads just don™™t get dry unless I use the timed options. The lint catcher does ok but I wipe the surfaces and in between the small holes at the bottom edge to get what doesn™™t go in the catcher itself. The exterior handle came off in my hand the first time I opened the door™¦thought I broke it, but then learned I have to pull out and to the left at the same time in order for it to stay on. It keeps happening unless we are careful about that and I hope the handle tabs stay viable.
All in all, we™™re glad we got it!

This stacked washer/dryer is very loud. It™™s louder than my old one that was 13 years old. The dryer door takes the force of God himself to open and close, so I just leave the door ajar if nothing is actively drying. Pulling the dryer door open literally rocks the entire machine until it opens. Yikes on bikes.

The unit is very loud, louder than my previous stackable that was 12 years old. The dryer door also takes the force of God to close which I opted not to fight with and just leave it slightly ajar if it™™s not drying anything. Honestly, at this point, I just need it to wash my clothes, so I™™m crossing my fingers that it can perform this small feet.

Awful, have needed technicians to come multiple times to fix issues with a brand new unit. Was just told I need to pay $240 for a new part on the dryer even though I purchased this 14 months ago. 2nd time in a year I've had to schedule an appointment for maintenance on the dryer.

I like the stacked efficient size and the capacity of both washer and dryer. Additionally, it's pretty quiet and easy to use. I am not real pleased with the "precise load" setting, it's very fussy and difficult to actually get it going.

It's better than my last washer and dryer combo, but I'm still not that pleased with my purchase. It's an OK machine, and it'll do for the time being. It's extremely loud, which I was surprised by, given the reviews that said it was a quiet machine. Sometimes, the washer won't start because it wants the lid down, even if I add clothes and let the water run. If I put the lid down, it will automatically lock and won't run. If you're looking for a cheap machine to get you by for a few years- this one will work.... I guess!

Constantly having to stop the machine to rebalance the load. Whenever I do towels and comforters and blankets they come out of the washer half dry. Thereby never having been truly washed. By anything else but this, it truly is the worst washer that I've ever owned and now I'm stuck with it.

This one sounds like it will run up the stairs and cause us bodily harm. Only used one other stackable in my life and it was never as noisy as the one made by you guys. Have to stop it and readjust everything 2-4 times before one load is done. Does not run smoothly unless you only have 4 pieces but then you are wasting water & soap.

Don™™t be afraid of the nickel grey finish. It looks good and matches stainless, black,or white.
